Please read through the guide lines for the service you need before you send us your files.

Recording guide lines

Before we book a recording the following needs to be considered.

Are you ready to enter the studio?

  • The song is completely finished.
  • You have practiced enough
  • All musicians knows their parts

The recording studio is no place for practice. Please make sure you know your songs before we hit record.

A deposit of 25% of the estimated cost must be paid to confirm the booking.

Cancellation of the recording must take place at a minimum of 2 weeks before the agreed upon start date. If a cancellation takes place later than that the client will be billed the estimated cost agreed upon when the booking was confirmed. The deposit is not refundable under any circumstances.

Editing guide lines

Please send us all the multi tracks for the song/songs that needs editing. Even if you only need the drums edited we need to hear the rest of the instruments to easier keep the feel of the performance.

We will only edit the tracks you ask us to edit. I.E. You need to fix the timing on the drums? We edit the drums and leave everything else as it is. Please be as specific as you can when you book us for your editing needs.

Mixing guide lines

Make sure your song/songs are ready for mixing.

  • All takes are comped and set.
  • All the edits are done.
  • All drum samples are set (We offer drum replacements if you need them)
  • All files start at the same position
  • All tracks are named after what they are. I.E. Kick, snare, Rack tom 1, Rythm guitar, Lead Guitar etc.
  • Include a rough mix of the track/tracks if you have one.
  • Include the tempo of every song. Either as a midi file or as a text file.
  • Provide reference tracks, preferably as a spotify playlist. Theese are tracks that have the sound you like for your songs.

Please note that editing is not included in the mixing process. If editing is needed we provide that service as well and you will be contacted if we feel that some edits are needed.

Payment is due after the mix is meets the clients requirements and expectations. No mixes will be sent to the client until the invoice is payed in full. TepTee Media owns the Mixed track/tracks, not the song/songs until the invoice is paid in full. You can choose to pay for a mix up front.

We usually deliver a finished mix of a song within 12 hours from the starting date. This apply to single song mixes. If we mix more than one song, I.E. an EP or album it will take a little longer.

Mastering guide lines

Make sure your mix is ready for master

  • Every one involved are happy with the mix
  • The mix is not “Brick-walled” I.E. There is some headroom left for our mastering engineer
  • There is space left before the song starts and after the song ends to make fades

Most masters are done with a stereo mixdown of the song. How ever we do offer Stem mastering if needed.

Payment is due when the master meets the clients requirements. No master will be sent to a client before the invoice is payed in full. The mastered files, not the song is owned by TepTee Media until the invoice is payed in full. You can choose to pay for the master up front.

We usually deliver a finished master within 12 hours from the starting date. This apply to single song masters. More than one song, I.E. EP or album takes a little bit longer.

General guide lines

Please send only wav or aiff files. We prefer to work on as high resolution as possible but we do appriciate that not all systems can work on 192 kHz and 32 bit resolution. Please supply us with files that are 48 kHz and 24 Bit resolution or above for maximun quality. If you can’t provide us with the desired resolution please let us know before sending us you files.
